What is an HIU?
A heat interface unit (HIU) is the unit in your flat that takes heat from your building’s shared heat network and turns it into your heating and hot water. It does the job a boiler does in a house, without burning gas in your home.
When it’s working well, you don’t notice it. When it isn’t, you lose heating, hot water, or both.

Do you offer discounts for multiple HIUs?
Yes. Servicing is £120 per unit + VAT for 1–5 units and £95 per unit + VAT for 6–9 units. Developments with 10 or more units are priced on application.
Are parts included in the call-out price?
No. The call-out covers diagnosis and the first hour of labour. Replacement parts and any extra work are quoted separately and agreed with you before we go ahead.
Which HIU brands do you work on?

My HIU has no hot water. What should I check first?
Check the unit has power and its lights are on, that any pre-payment credit hasn’t run out, and that your timer and thermostat settings haven’t changed. If it still isn’t working, give us a call.
